Garrett Mason is a true bluesman at heart. He was raised in Truro, Nova Scotia by his mother Pam, and father, Canadian blues legend Dutch Mason. Garrett's quest to become a musician started at a very early age - his first foray with the guitar came at just four years old, when he found an old guitar with only one string; "I didn't even know what it was, but I knew it was cool". His father taught him how to play "Hit the Road Jack" and the Peter Gunn theme song. "We never did get the rest of the strings put on that guitar". Garrett eventually lost interest and didn't pick up the guitar again until he was 13 years old, when he first heard the music of Albert Collins, BB King and Stevie Ray Vaughan. "When I heard those guys, I knew it was something I had to do".

Mike has been playing bass since the age of 14, starting in punk rock and garage bands.Playing professionaly since the age of 19, he has recorded and/or played with such east coast artists as ECMA winners Matt Mays, Nathan Wiley, Jill Barber, David Myles and Ottawa's Steve Marriner.He's also a founding member of Halifax r+b and funk bands The Mellotones and The Metric System.

Damien has played with many different artists including ECMA winner Nathan Wiley, Servo, The Mellotones, The Metric System, The Hylozoists and many local Jazz musicians. He has a Bachelor of Music from Dalhousie University in Halifax and has performed/ recorded with Symphony Nova Scotia, Nova Scotia Youth Orchestra, Neptune Theatre,Two Planks and a Passion Theatre Company(Wolfville) as well as the 78th Highlanders Halifax Citadel pipe band. Among all the diverse session work he has done he loves R&B, Funk and Soul music the most and continues to perform on tour and in his hometown, Halifax. | |
